ORA “GEORGE” McCLURG

He was born on November 21, 1952, in Morgantown, WV, a son to the late Thelma Louise (Leach) and Kenneth Leslie McClurg.

George was a retired coal miner and a proud member of the United Mine Workers of America (UMWA).

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Kenneth McClurg and his sister, Linda McClurg.

He is survived by his loving wife, Pamela (McGuire) McClurg; sons, Eric McClurg, Luke McClurg and Matthew (Trakila) McClurg; daughters, Melissa (John) Miller and Sara (Adam) Spanovich; brother, John McClurg; sisters, Joyce (Daniel) Ayoob, Susan McClurg, Donna (Joe) McClurg and his grandchildren, Wesley, Harper, Charlotte, Olivia, Makayla, Noah, Ronan and Bella.

Family and friends are invited to a memorial service at Bauknecht-Altmeyer Funeral Homes & Crematory, 186 Main St., Powhatan Point, OH on Saturday, November 9, 2024 at 2 p.m. with Reverend Ken Staley. Inurnment is at the convenience of the family.
