SANDRA FIJALKOWSKI
Sandra (Turner) Fijalkowski — With the blessing of being in her home and being held by her daughters and sons, Sandy Fijalkowski was called home to Heaven and reunited with her love of 62 years, Larry, on Nov 9, 2024.
Sandy unexpectedly came into this world as a 2-pound preemie and beat the odds by thriving and taking her place as #16 of 17 children.
She and Larry met at Bailey Meter in Cleveland, OH where she worked as a riveter. After briefly living in Germany, they welcomed the first of 4 “miracle” babies. Sandy’s children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren were her life’s work and biggest source of pride.
As a member of the Neffs Methodist Church, Sandy lived her life daily as a humble and fierce servant of the Lord. The Fijalkowski home was a lighthouse in the community. All who came for a visit were met with a mother’s love. Sandy’s unwavering faith moved mountains. Heaven surely delights in her coming home.
The Fijalkowski family would like to thank the Neffs community and our special friend Sherri for the endless support, love, and laughter she brought our momma.
Sandy leaves behind her children Eric (Carrie) Fijalkowski, Carol (Roger) Tipton, Renee (Bryan) Ramsay, Brenda (Roger) Myers; grandchildren, Morgan (Brandon) Heath, Branden (Jenny) Krock, Kaitlyn (Michael) Cilles, Sarah (Shawn) McCleary, Jacob (Bailey) Fijalkowski, Tyler Ramsay, Mason (Logen) Ramsay, Annie (Austin) Southwood, Isaak Myers and Jade Myers; 14 great- grandchildren; a brother, Chuck (Connie) Turner; a sister-in-law, Roseann Turner; a sister-in-law, Connie Nowak; and a brother-in-law, Dan (Sandy) Fijalkowski.
She was preceded in death by her husband Larry Fijalkowski; her parents, William and Margaret (Beverly) Turner; and 15 siblings.
Friends and family are to be received at the Bauknecht- Altmeyer Funeral Home, 441 37th St., Bellaire, Ohio on Tuesday, November 12, from 4-8 p.m. Additional visitation to be held Wednesday, November 13, from 11 a.m. until time of service at 1 p.m. with Roger Tipton officiating. Interment to immediately follow at Union Cemetery, St. Clairsville, Ohio.
