Phyllis DeCola, a beloved matriarch and cherished member of her family and community, passed away on November 21, 2024, at the age of 90. Born on January 23, 1934, to Ida Mae and Frank Cramer, Phyllis grew up in a close-knit family and carried their love and values throughout her life.

Phyllis was married to the late Thomas DeCola, with whom she shared a loving partnership until his passing in 2014. Together, they built a family full of love and resilience. She was a devoted mother to Cheryl Boyd, who predeceased her on August 25, 2024.

Phyllis is survived by her sister Beverly and was preceded in death by her brother Frank. Her legacy continues through her three grandchildren, Diana DeCola (46), Justin Boyd (41), and Chad Boyd (37, and his wife, Emily), as well as her five great-grandchildren: Mariella (15), Max (11), Myles (6), Liam (3), and Maeve (6 weeks).

Known for her selfless spirit, Phyllis found joy in taking care of those around her, always offering kindness and support to family, friends, and neighbors. She will be remembered for her warmth, generosity, and steadfast devotion to her loved ones.

A service to honor Phyllis’s life will be held on Friday, December 6th, 2024 from 11:00 am until the time of service at 1:00 pm with Reverend David Roberts officiating at Bauknecht Altmeyer Funeral Homes 3900 Central Ave, Shadyside, OH 43947. Interment will follow at Holly Memorial Gardens.
