DONALD RICHEY JR.
Donald E. Richey, Jr., “Ed”, 62, of Valley Grove, WV, passed away on Thursday, January 23, 2025, at Valley Hospice-Liza’s Place, after a year-long battle with cancer.
He was born on December 30, 1962, in Wheeling, WV, the son of Donald E. Richey, Sr. and the late Diana M. Richey. Ed graduated from McGuffey High School.
On March 13, 2007, he married Christine Ball.
Ed retired from USPS, he worked as a rural mail carrier. After retirement, he worked as a groundskeeper for Wheeling Park.
He enjoyed spending time with his family, watching the Dallas Cowboys, and golfing.
Ed was a loving and caring husband, father, son, brother, uncle, grandfather, and friend.
In addition to his mother, Ed is preceded in death by his first wife Mona Richey, sister Kelly Ullom, and niece Ashley Richey.
He is survived by his wife Christine Richey, sons Conner and Tanner Richey; Tyler Webb (Bianca) and Rick (Amy) and Jaime (Melissa) Scherich, father Donald E. Richey, Sr., siblings Kim Muffeny, Mark Richey (Lisa), and Michael Richey (Heather), brother-in-law Alan Ullom, two grandchildren Camden and Jordan, and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, January 27, 2025, at the funeral home, officiated by Pastor Jacob Judy. The interment will be private.
