MAX WALLNER

Max A. Wallner, aged 93, passed away peacefully on January 3, 2025, at Valley Hospice Liza’s Place in Wheeling, West Virginia. Born on June 21, 1931, in Cleveland, Ohio, he was the son of the late Edith (Hill) and Mathias Wallner.

In high school, he ran the movie projectors in Powhatan and Shadyside for the movie theaters. Max dedicated many years of his life working as a machinist and mechanic at Genuine Parts Steubenville/Wheeling, where he was known for his hard work, dedication, and knowledge of engine and machine repair. He served his country as a veteran of the U.S. Army.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn Joanna (Palmer) Wallner, and their daughter, Diana Wallner-Wright.

Max leaves behind three children: Rodney Wallner, Curtis Wallner, and Sherry Wallner; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchild- ren.

Family and friends will be received at the Bauknecht-Altmeyer Funeral Home 441 37th Street Bellaire, Ohio on Monday, January 13 from 10:00am until time of service at 12:00pm. Immediate burial to follow at Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove, Ohio.
