GEORGE BOMBORIS

George D. Bomboris, 72, of Adena passed away on February 21, 2025, at the Harrison County Home after a brief battle with cancer. He was born January 31, 1953, in Wheeling, WV, a son of the late George and Catherine (Holliday) Bomboris.
George worked at the former Y&O Coal Mine and Lindy Paving. After his retirement, he enjoyed working at the golf course, where he could be found golfing any chance he had. He was an avid sports fan. He loved watching high school sports. He rarely missed an event.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two sisters and three brothers-in-law, Constance (Mike) Slaga, Sue (Jack) Moore, Ronald Ferri, and a granddaughter, Katelyn Bomboris.
He is survived by his children, Laura (Lenny) Adams of Freeport, Stephanie Bomboris of Adena, Ben Bomboris of Georgetown, and Sam (Crystal) Bomboris of Flushing; five grandchildren, Emily (Bill) Perko of Bridgeport, Evan (Shannon) Dombroski of Mingo, Kourtney (Lee) Dombroski of Cadiz, Nathan and Ethan Bomboris of Flushing; four (and one on the way) great grandchildren. Also surviving are his sister, Teresa Ferri of Georgetown and brother Tony (Brenda) Bomboris of Colliers, WV., along with several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews. He had some special friends as well; Dawn Gill, Kylie, Klaudia and Barrett.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, February 26, 2025, from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Clark-Kirkland-Barr Funeral Home, Cadiz where funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 27, 2025, at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove, Ohio.
