HEATHER DEMARIA
Heather Lynn DeMaria, 53, of St. Clairsville, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, February 25, 2025, at Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She was born June 15, 1971, in Wheeling, West Virginia, a daughter of Jack David (Anne) Graham and Brenda Grafton Graham.
Heather was a high school English teacher at John Glenn High School for over 10 years. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in St. Clairsville. She was an avid reader and had a “green thumb” when it came to flowers. She loved animals, especially her cat “CC” and her very first Boxer dog “Haus.” She was always rooting for her favorite sports teams, the Ohio State Buckeyes, Pittsburgh Pirates, and the Pittsburgh Steelers. Heather was a kind, gentle and loving soul.
She is preceded in death by her grandparents, and her beloved aunt and uncle, Judy and Ray Miller.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by two uncles, Roy Grafton and Rodney (Anna) Grafton; cousins, Scott Miller, Rodney Grafton Jr., and Wendy West; and many second cousins.
Family and friends will be received on Sunday, from 2 pm- 5 pm at the Toothman Funeral Home, St. Clairsville with a vigil service beginning at 2 pm. Additional visitation will be held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church on Monday from 9 am until time of Funeral Liturgy with Mass at 10 am with Fr. Thomas Chillog as celebrant. Burial will follow in Longview Cemetery, New Athens, Ohio.
Memorial Contributions may be made to the Belmont County Animal Shelter, St. Clairsville Food Pantry, or St. Mary’s Catholic Church.
