MICHAEL ROBINSON

Michael J. Robinson, 73, passed away peacefully on February 20, 2025, at his home in Bellaire, Ohio. Born in Wheeling, West Virginia, on June 4, 1951, Michael lived a life full of love, hard work, and cherished moments with family and friends.

A dedicated and hardworking man, Michael began his career as a coal miner, demonstrating the grit and determination that characterized his approach to life. Later, he became a self-employed contractor, using his skills and ingenuity to support his family and bring projects to fruition. Among his proudest achievements was building his own home, a testament to his craftsmanship and perseverance.

Michael was an avid reader and found joy in deciphering crossword puzzles. His grandchildren, Gwen and Gavin, were the light of his life, bringing him boundless joy and pride. A devoted fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers and Notre Dame, Michael loved cheering on his teams. In his leisure time, he could often be found fishing and camping, enjoying the great outdoors.

Michael was preceded in death by his loving parents, William and Elizabeth Robinson, his brother Samuel, and his sister Gayle.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 52 years, Kathy Robinson, who stood by his side throughout life’s journey. Together, they raised a beautiful family, including their daughter Stephanie (Tim) Brown, and delighted in the laughter and company of their grandchildren, Gwen and Gavin Brown.

He is also survived by two sisters Berni (Terry) Coyne, Betsy (Ed) Wojtasek; three brothers Bill (Vicki) Robinson, Leonard Robinson, Bobby (Margaret) Robinson, and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends who will miss him dearly.

Family and friends will be received at Bauknecht-Altmeyer Funeral Home and Crematory, 441 37th Street, Bellaire, Ohio on Friday, February 28, 2025 from 11:00am to 12:00pm. Funeral Mass will follow at St. John Catholic Church with Father Daniel Heusel presiding. Interment to take place at Holly Memorial Gardens. A luncheon will follow at St. John’s Catholic Church.

Michael’s life was a testament to his strong Catholic faith, his unwavering dedication to family, and his immeasurable love for those around him. Although he is no longer with us, his legacy will endure in the hearts and minds of all who knew and loved him.
