WILLIAM RICE
William Kenneth Rice, 80 of Martins Ferry, passed away Monday, February 10, 2025, at Select Specialty Hospital in Wheeling, WV. He was born January 9, 1945, in Martins Ferry, the son of the late Clyde Kenneth and Pauline (Kern) Rice.
He was retired from Ohio Edison as a Test Man in the Results Department, a veteran of the United States Navy, the Martins Ferry Fire Department and a member of the Grace Presbyterian Church of Martins Ferry. Bill loved his Steelers and was an avid Ohio State Fan, he was so proud of the fact that he served as an usher at the Ohio State Football Stadium for several years.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Sharon (Conrath) Rice, children; William Rice, Jr of PA, Jeff (Kathy) Rice of KY, David (Rachel Rotilio) Rice of Flushing, OH, Jennifer (Michael) Edwards of Powell, OH, grandchildren; Brittany, Chandler and Sophie Rice, Alexis and Carter Edwards, great-grandson, Mason, brother; Edward (Connie) Rice and sister; Susan (Roger) Barlage, many nieces, nephews and friends.
Family and friends will be received Saturday, February 15, 2025, from 11am till time of Funeral Service at 2pm with the Rev. Paul Todd officiating at the Wilson Funeral Home – Heslop Chapel, 415 Walnut Street, Martins Ferry, OH 43935. Fire Department Services will be conducted at the funeral home at 1:30pm.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Grace Presbyterian Church, 7 N. 4th St. Martins Ferry, OH 43935.
