ELSA ALBRIGHT

Elsa Carolyn Albright left this earthly life on March 6, 2025, rejoining her husband and life partner, David.
Elsa was born June 16, 1930 to Martha and Leroy Leasure in Shadyside, Ohio. She graduated from Shadyside High School and took a position as a bank teller at The Half Dollar Bank in Wheeling. She married David Albright Sr. on October 1, 1949 and began a life devoted to their partnership of 72 years. Together they purchased and operated a dairy farm on Cash Hill Road in Shadyside, raised 3 children and pursued an active life and retirement together. Elsa was a member of Lincoln Avenue United Methodist Church in Shadyside. She was also a member of a card club composed of her high school classmates for 60 years. With David, she was a member of the Farm Bureau. She just recently received her 70 year pin from Eastern Stars, Captina Chapter 489.
Her children remember her as always being busy in the kitchen preparing their favorite meals and raising flowers and vegetables in her garden. She was personally thrifty, but always generous to others in need. She enjoyed traveling with friends and family. Later in life she enjoyed the activities and accomplishments of her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is survived by her three children. Deborah (Robert) Exten, David Albright Jr. and Diane (Charles) Kulazenka. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Anna Kay Dean, her husband, David and a granddaughter and great granddaughter.
