JOANN LAVITCHKA

She was born on September 13, 1937, in Martins Ferry, Ohio to the late Joseph and Ann Wojnicki Lavitchka.

Joann was the previous owner of Willow Apartments and retired from Ameritech, the former Ohio Bell phone company. Joann also resided on the boards for Olive Branch Cemetery in Harrisville, Ohio and the Tri County Water Authority.

She was very generous to various organizations. Joann loved to shop and travel and spend time with her many friends. She “never met a stranger”.

Including her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Joseph “Bud” Lavitchka, and a nephew, Joe Lavitchka, Jr.

Joann is survived by her many faithful neighbors and dear friends, Carol Webb, Debbie Zeroski, Linda Owens and Cheryl Zamski and many more.

Friends and loved ones will be received on Friday from 10 am to time of service at 11 am at Covenant Presbyterian Church in Harrisville, Ohio with Rev. Berry Hall officiating. The burial will follow at Olive Branch Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville, Ohio.
