RAYMOND MILBERT

He was born in Martins Ferry, Ohio on August 22, 1942, he was the son of the late Albert and Virginia Gertrude (Knapp) Milbert.

Ray was a US Air force Veteran and was stationed in Fairbanks, Alaska. Ray was co-owner of Rite Carpet in Bridgeport for over 40 years. He was a life long resident of Martins Ferry. He was involved playing and coaching softball for over 40 years. He took his woman’s softball league to Las Vegas for tournaments

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by three brothers, Bill Robison, Les Milbert and Albert Milbert; two sisters, Della Fulst and Mary Mitchell.

He is survived by his wife, Lydia Nancy, two sisters-in-laws, Jeanette Lemby and Louise McKinney; brother-in-law, Nelson Ealy. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Keller Funeral Home, 615 Hanover Street, Martins Ferry, OH where friends and family will be received Wednesday 5-8pm, Thursday 1-3 and 5-8 pm, also on Friday, March 14, 2025 11 until time of service at Noon with Pastor Nancy DeStefano officiating. Interment will follow in Riverview Cemetery, Martins Ferry.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Belmont Co. Animal Shelter, 45244 National Road West, St. Clairsville, OH 43950.
