DARLENE KOLB

DARLENE KOLB

Our beloved mother, Darlene Frances Patrone Kolb, 85, passed away peacefully at her home on April 15, 2025.

Darlene was born on January 4, 1940, a daughter of the late Edna Mae (Ward) Patrone and Albert S. Patrone.

Darlene was most known for her culinary skills, often found in her kitchen, perfecting all of the new recipes she discovered on the latest cooking shows. Her most famous delicacy was her individual nut rolls and her homemade noodles. Her love of cooking was only matched by her passion for fishing with her grandchildren creating lasting memories. An avid animal lover, Darlene surrounded herself with the companionship of pets throughout her entire life.

She was an avid pinochle player, loved scrabble, Bingo, and doing the daily crossword puzzle.

Darlene was a member of the Bellaire VFW Post 626 and the Bridgeport Eagles, Aerie 995.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John “Jack” M. Kolb, her brothers: Albert, Jr., Fred and Joseph, as well as one sister, Rose Dowling. She was also preceded in death by one granddaughter, Hannah Costine.

Darlene’s legacy lives on with her daughters, Darla (Tom) Ney and Denise (Eric) Costine. She also has 6 grandchildren: Chas (Jen) Call; T.J.
