EVELYN McCLOUD

Born on February 24, 1930, in Washington, Pennsylvania, a daughter of the late Clarence Abraham and Leora Summerfield Smith.

Evelyn devoted half a century of her life to Wheeling Hospital, where she worked diligently in various capacities until her well-earned retirement. Her commitment to her work was a testament to her perseverance and unwavering ethic.

A woman of faith, Evelyn was a member of the South Bellaire United Methodist Church, where she found community and spiritual solace throughout her life.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Samuel McCloud on February 5, 2012 and 8 siblings.

Survivors include her daughters, Bonnie McCloud Fitzsimmons and Karen McCloud Gable, brother, Clarence Smith of Shadyside, Ohio as well as 5 grandchildren, and 6 great- grandchildren.

Family and friends will be received at the Bauknecht Altmeyer Funeral Homes and Crematory, 441 37th Street Bellaire Ohio on Friday April 25, 2025 from 10am until time of funeral service at 11:45am. Evelyn will be laid to rest in Holly Memorial Gardens immediately following funeral services.
