RICHARD HUTTER

Richard Kenneth Hutter, 87 of Delaware, Ohio passed away December 2, 2023 at the Willow Brook Christian Village following a stroke.
Born July 13, 1936 in Steubenville, Ohio to the late Michael & Adaline (Morgan) Hutter. Dick attended and later graduated from Linsley Military School in West Virginia. Dick joined the United States Army and served during peacetime. He was honorably discharged 4 years later.
He met Rosalie A. Gacek in 1955, and they hit it off. They were married July 9, 1960 in Bellaire, Ohio. Dick and Rosalie lived in several places, including Rockford, IL, Baltimore, MD, Houston, TX, and Charleston West Virginia. Dick owned and operated Hobart Sales and Service and had franchises in both Charleston and Huntington, West Virginia. He was a professional business man, who took care of his family.
Dick was a member of the Asbury United Methodist Church for over 7 years. He was also a mason and a Shriner.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and siblings Fred (Jo) Hutter and Nancy (Max) Hutter.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving and supportive wife of 63 years Rosalie; son Mark (Kris) Hutter; daughters Gretchen (Ken) Kaufman and Cathleen Rawn; grandchildren Adam Ray, Aidan Kaufman and Morgan Hutter; grand dogs Fancy, Scooter, and Cinnamon Sprinkles.
When Dick wasn’t working, he enjoyed golfing, watching Cleveland sports teams including the Brown and Guardians. He also enjoyed trains including collecting Lionel Trains. Dick made Christmas with the family special, and took Rosalie on special and unique dinners any chance he got. Those close to Dick will remember him as the strong, beloved, patriotic, and philanthropic individual that he was.
Services were held at Asbury United Methodist Church. Burial took place at Kingwood Memorial Park in Lewis Center with military honors provided by the United States Army.
