It is surprising sometimes how in the simplest verses of scripture you find people who act either for society’s good or for its destruction. I believe it is that way with those who espouse leftism versus those who claim the conservative viewpoint. I would dare say it even goes to a deeper aspect of the soul.

In John 10:10 we find the following verse, “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy.”

If we are honest with one another we find that leftist ideologies tend to demonstrate these qualities as compared to conservative views in current society. But first let me say this. I do not paint everybody with the same broad strokes. There are good, kind democrats who are friends and I believe are misled by the National Democrat party and the mainstream media rather than actually holding hard and fast to the root beliefs of the modern leftist.

For example, “My grandpa was a democrat, my mom and dad were democrats so I am a democrat.” There are traditionalists who have good hearts. But the National Democrat party has changed dramatically beginning with Obama. Its views are more reflective of social Marxism and totalitarianism than constitutional law and Judeo-Christian values.

Let me show some examples: “The thief comes only to steal.” Under Elon Musk the American taxpayer is now being made aware of massive fraud. The worst of it is being made by players like George Soros to divert taxpayer money to people and organizations that act in conflict against American institutions and the public good. Under Biden there was a mass invasion of illegal aliens with the help of NGOs. These NGOs took taxpayer money to house, medicate and employ illegal aliens.

“The thief comes to destroy.” The best example of this would be the attack on the Tesla dealerships and owners. As one political pundit stated, “the democrats are attacking their own supporters.” The leftist are doing so with the encouragement of their leadership such as Jasmine Crockett and Tim Walz. What I find sad is that they are also destroying their own retirement systems. Many democrat states have a good deal of their pensions tied up in Musk’s technology. Tim Walz’s state of Minnesota has 1.6 million shares of Tesla stock worth $669 million. Walz wants Tesla stock to fail. Walz is not a smart man. They are destroying in other ways. They destroy children’s childhood through transitioning and training. They destroy the nuclear family through school boards and teachers unions. We are seeing the destruction of the things that hold society together.

“The thief comes to kill.” The best example of this would be the ending of life in the womb. Life is essential to a society’s survival. The elites discourage and rebuke those who stand up for it.

There is also a deeper aspect to this verse. We have seen on the left a total disregard for the protection of life and an encouragement of confrontation. Statements such as, “Get up in their faces.” “Knock him over the head.”

The left has coddled the mentally ill to the point that they now practice a tyranny of the minority. The left’s philosophy is if you cannot reasonably argue your point, you use vulgar language and physically attack people. We have seen that over and over again. The shooter at Butler, Pa., may be a perfect example of this … that is unless we find there is a deeper organized conspiracy. Much of that investigation was “iffy.”

We must stand up to this evil that comes from Satan. The power of the Gospel can overcome all of this. Repent, pray, and speak up.
