Buckeye Local falls to Harrison Central
CADIZ — Kelsey Powers scored 19 points and charted six steals as Harrison Central (8-3) defeated visiting Buckeye Trail 42-32 Monday night in girls’ basketball action.
Lauren Doane added a double-double with 12 points and a like number of rebounds.
The Huskies host Indian Creek on Thursday.

CAMBRIDGE — Lindsey Best tallied 27 of her game-high 33 points in the first quarter as the Purple Riders (7-4) continued their red-hot play with a road win over the Bobcats.
Lindse Sidon contributed 16 points and Giana Chirpas 11. SJ Koller had eight.
Bellaire 43, Barnesville 36
BELLAIRE — Zara Harveth netted 16 points and Tamiya Morgan added 13 as the Big Reds (8-1) kept pace at the top of the crowded OVAC Class 3A standings.
Morgan also grabbed six rebounds while Harveth had four assists and four steals.
Madelynn Tyson paced the Shamrocks with 13 points. Lydia Fuchs added seven.
Cameron 56, Magnolia 33
NEW MARTINSVILLE — The Dragons locked down the Blue Eagles from the jump on Monday, breaking out to a 19-2 lead after the first quarter on their way to a big win to open their week.
Maci Neely led Cameron with 15 points and eight rebounds. She was joined in double figures by Macey Bertram who scored 11 with four rebounds. Shaleigh Littleton and Kendra Thomas each scored nine.
Cameron made nine 3-pointers, with Bertram and Kendra Thomas each making three from long range.
Magnolia’s Kaylee Yost led the way with 14 points. Sienna McKeever added seven.

Monroe Central 84, Parkersburg 56
PARKERSBURG — Tucker Howell scored 25 points and Chance Allen added 16 as the Seminoles defeated the Big Reds. Jacob Fogle and Cooper Howell evenly divided 18.
Monroe Central led 20-9 after one quarter before extending the margin to 42-22 at the half. It was ahead 70-39 after three quarters.
