The seventh annual Sam Andy Classic basketball tournament will be held Friday inside WesBanco Arena.

The three-game event is a varsity-only format. Doors open at 3 p.m.

In the opening game, Martins Ferry will meet Wheeling Park in a girls’ contest at 4 p.m.

At 6 p.m., the Wheeling Central boys debut against a talented Monroe Central squad, while the Wheeling Park and Brooke boys conclude the day full of action at 8 p.m.

Tickets are $12 and are good for all three games.

Andy was the long-time boys’ basketball coach at Wheeling Park.
