STEUBENVILLE — It would appear that Big Red is starting to hit its stride.
Coach Mike Haney’s group got off to another fast start and never looked back, rolling to a lopsided victory over visiting Indian Creek inside the Crimson Center Friday night for its fourth-straight victory.
Big Red jumped out to an 11-2 lead. A Caleb Bodo triple for Creek made it a 13-6 game, but Big Red went on a 13-0 run to end the first quarter and did not slow down much from there.
After Creek scored the first bucket of the second quarter, Big Red rattled off a 16-2 run.
By the middle of the third quarter when the starters left the floor, the Big Red run was 38-4.
The lead built by the starters allowed for Haney to empty the bench, as every player dressed on both teams got minutes.
Santino Haney led Steubenville with 15 points.
After hitting seven 3s against Aquinas on Tuesday, Tre’von Wiggins netted four more to finish with 14 points, while Will Taylor also tallied 11.
Creek was led by eight points and a pair of 3s from Caleb Bodo.
