John Marshall claims victory over visitors Buckeye Local, 60-50
MOUNDSVILLE — John Marshall got back on the winning side of the ledger Tuesday night with a 60-50 victory over visiting Buckeye Local inside the John Marshall Field House.
Kayden Knapp led three Monarchs in twin figures with 15 points. Jackson helms added 14 and Preston Watkins finished with 13.
Xavier Eastham had 15 points for the Panthers.

BARNESVILLE — Dre Saunders netted 24 points, grabbed seven rebounds and handed out five assists while Billy Schumacher tallied 24 points and six rebounds as the Jets captured the Mike Bottle Trophy over the host Shamrocks.
Brody Kerns had 10 rebounds.

MARIETTA — The Seminoles received 21 points for Chance Allen and 14 from Caden Silva in defeating the Tigers.
Cooper Howell added 13 and Tucker Howell 11.

PINE GROVE — Gavin Derby went for 28 points as the Lumberjacks knocked off the visiting Dragons. Trevor Stackpole added 16.
Mason Scott scored 16 for Cameron. Carter Paczewski had 10.
Wheeling Central 66, Fort Frye 47
WHEELING — The Maroon Knights kept rolling with a 19-point victory over the Cadets.
Junior Eli Sancomb scored 25 points and grabbed 15 rebounds for Wheeling Central.
Troy Anthony added 12 Max Olejasz added eight.
The Knights, ranked No. 1 in the AP W.Va. boys poll, are 12-1 on the year.

Magnolia 63
NEW MARTINSVILLE — The Blue Devils eked out a close victory on the road against the Blue Eagles on Tuesday.
Kingston Christen went off for 31 points for Magnolia, knocking down two of Magnolia’s three 3-pointers.
St. Marys made five 3-pointers, led by two off the fingertips of Preston Lawhon, who scored 28 for St. Marys.
The Blue Devils led 35-25 at halftime and 47-41 after three quarters.

WEIRTON — East Liverpool broke open a close game and did not look back en route to a road victory against the Red Riders Tuesday night on Ron “Fritz” Williams Court inside the Carl Hamill Fieldhouse.
Justin Kaczmarek collected a team-high 21 points to lead the way offensively for Weir, while Damir Mowder delivered 10 points.
Nate Birch contributed a game-high 27 points to lead the way offensively for East Liverpool (12-5), while D’Shawn Kirby recorded 10.
Madonna 63,
Edison 43
RICHMOND — For Madonna Tuesday night was all about runs as the Blue Dons started on a big run to get ahead and closed on a big run to put a victory away.
Madonna started the game on a 9-0 spurt to take command early and never trailed.
The Wildcats (3-12) did not go away quietly, though, as they rattled off an 11-2 run to start the fourth quarter and closed to as close as 48-40, but the comeback ran out of steam.
Grishkevich netted a game-high 19 points for the Blue Dons, all but one of which came in the second half. Reed Wilharm netted 16, keying the big first quarter with half of his points in the opening eight minutes. Andre Crossland tallied 14 to put three in double digits for Madonna.
For Edison, Jackson McBane tallied 16 points while Bryce Rogers also netted a pair from beyond the arc and tallied 10 points.

BELLAIRE — Zara Harveth netted 28 points and grabbed 10 rebounds in leading the Big Reds past the visiting Red Riders. Tamya Morgan added 14 points and 10 boards, while Eliana Mason also collected 10 rebounds.
Reyna Hoover had 12 points for Weir.
