COLUMBUS — Bellaire’s Zara Harveth enjoyed quite a girls basketball career during her four years. She capped her career with Division VI first team all-state honors.
The 2025 Divisions IV, V, VI and VII girls basketball All-Ohio teams were announced Monday by the Ohio Prep Sports Media Association. The All-Ohio teams are based on nominations from the seven districts of the OPSMA, which vote on the all-district teams from regular-season accomplishments.
Harveth averaged 19.6 points and nearly 10 rebounds a night for head coach John Farrier’s Big Reds, who posted a 20-win season in 2024-25. They advanced to the Eastern District championship before bowing out to state semifinalist Fort Frye.
“Zara has led us in points and rebounds every year for the past four years,” Farrier said. “She has improved her scoring and shooting percentages every year. Her individual and team success is a direct correlation to her and her teammates’ hard work during the season as well as the offseason.
“I am very proud of Zara, not only as her coach but as her uncle as well,” Farrier added. “She has had an amazing career.”
She eclipsed the coveted 1,000-point mark during her career.
Harveth became the first Bellaire player to earn first team all-state honors since Katrina Davis was Division III Player of the Year in 2020.
