St. C. takes down Bellaire
ST. CLAIRSVILLE — Landon Stack pitched a complete game Wednesday as St. Clairsville (7-1) completed its sweep of a home-and-home high school baseball series with Bellaire in an 8-2 triumph on Unified Bank Field at the Junior Sports Complex. The Red Devils posted an 18-2 verdict on Tuesday and extended their win streak to six in a row.
Stack, just a freshman, struck out one and walked three. He scattered six singles.
Brody Saunders stroked a single and double to drive in three runs for St. Clairsville. Caiden Bailey and Ryan Ivey each singled twice to knock in a run while Colten Florence had an RBI single.
Landon Preston singled twice for the Big Reds. Hunter Watson and Scott Balsei had RBI singles.
St. Clairsville visits Barnesville Thursday in a 4:30 p.m. start at Memorial Park in western Belmont County.

Marietta 0
MARIETTA — Steven Brodegard struck out 10, walked two and gave up two singles as the Maroon Knights (12-1) got back on the winning track with a six-inning win over the Tigers..
Koy Lipinski drove in five runs for the winners with a single and a home run. Brayden Cover knocked in two runs while Zayne Rosnick slapped two doubles to drive in a run and Jacob Brown singled twice to drive in another. Gary Hatfield singled and doubled.
Indian Creek 13, Beaver Local 3
WINTERSVILLE — The Redskins received a single, double and four RBI from Caleb Bodo as they stopped the Beavers in five innings.
Indian Creek scored seven times in the third to break the game wide open.
Sy Barcalow drove in two runs with a single and double, while Ty Householder drove in a run with a single and double.
Sylus Hyde earned the mound win with nine strikeouts and two walks. He surrendered two singles.
Shadyside 5, River 3
HANNIBAL — The visiting Tigers scored twice in the top of the seventh to rally past the Pilots.
Damien Russell singled twice and drove in three runs for Shadyside. Ryan Collins singled twice while winning pitcher Jacob Allen had an RBI single. Cole Micker also registered an RBI.
Allen came on in the third and struck out four while walking three.
Kaden Hunt singled, doubled and drove in a run for River. Lucas Dennis had two singles. Peyton Blue and Cooper Roberts had RBI singles.
Tyler Consolidated 10, Valley 0
KIDWELL — Landon Boggs doubled twice and drove in two runs as the Silver Knights blanked the visiting Lumberjacks.
Brayden Miller singled three times and Nate Deaton doubled in two runs. Colby Nichols had a two-run single.
Brayden Neff, the second of three pitchers, earned the win. He fanned five and didn’t allow a walk.
SOFTBALL
Shadyside 2, River 1
SARDIS — The visiting Tigers (6-7) pushed across a pair of unearned runs in the second inning to erase a 1-0 deficit and Arianna Saxton made them stand up.
Saxton struck out 11, walked three and yielded two hits. She also singled twice.
Ava Wohnhas fanned 13, issued a free pass and allowed the Saxton singles.
Kaylee Hagan singled in the Pilot’s lone run. Wohnhas doubled.
Barnesville 12, Cambridge 1
CAMBRIDGE — Payton Dudzik was a triple shy of hitting for the cycle as she drove in three runs for the Shamrocks. Payton Loudin doubled and homered to also knock in three runs. Chaela Smolira singled and added three more runs batted in.
Ella Betts struck out seven, walked a pair of surrendered three hits in earning the win.
Harrison Central 14, East Liverpool 0
EAST LIVERPOOL — The visiting Huskies scored six times in the top of the first and never looked back in blanking the Potters as Emma Skinner allowed four singles and struck out seven.
Olivia Tonkovich doubled and homered to drive in three runs. Kelcey Powers singled twice to knock in a pair and Kailey Banal singled thrice. Camryn Campbell plated two runs with a single and double.
Union Local 18, Paden City 4
MORRISTOWN — The Jets erupted for eight runs in the bottom of the second to take a 9-0 lead and were threatened by the visiting Wildcats.
Laken Vinskovich singled twice, tripled and drove in a run for Union Local. McKenzie Jones added a two-run triple and Alli Kellaway drove in a run with a single and double.
Paden City issued 14 base-on-balls.
Magnolia 15, Beallsville 0
NEW MARTINSVILLE — The Blue Eagles’ Mallory McDiffitt tossed a three-inning perfect game with four strikeouts and no walks. She faced the minimum nine batters, throwing 36 pitches with 23 being strikes.
Magnolia scored seven times in the second inning and tacked on seven more in the third to blow away the visiting Blue Devils.
Sienna McKeever tripled and had a sacrifice fly to knock in five runs to pace Magnolia. Caroline Heil (2 singles), Bella Sockman (2 singles) and Audri Quinn all drove in two runs each for Magnolia. Jessa Anderson singled, doubled twice and knocked in a run.
Caldwell 10, Monroe Central 0
CALDWELL — Madi Mumaw fired a three-hitter with nine Ks as the Redskins blanked the visiting Seminoles. She also doubled twice.
